At the young age of 20, Mohamed Khalid was an active youth but he had to go under the knife for a debridement (removal of dead, damaged, or infected tissue to improve the healing of the remaining healthy tissue) due to a torn lateral meniscus during his NS.
After the surgery, he continued to suffer from stiff knee and pain on his right kneecap. In 2002, he went for another surgery for a subtotal menisectomy (surgical removal of all or part of a torn meniscus). By this time, the pain was so severe that he had to resort to taking a very strong prescription painkiller to manage his knee pain.
But his troubles are far from over, his knee pain persisted for another 4 years and in 2006, he underwent his third surgery for a lateral release (a surgical procedure on the knee used to realign the kneecap). By then, he was strongly advised by his doctor to refrain from all strenuous activities, which he did so, reluctantly.
When he read about how Fandi Ahmad, Singapore’s golden football son, benefitted from Flexiseq, he decided to give it a try. After a month of applying, his pain had lessened when he climbed up the stairs. One day, after 9 years of inactive lifestyle, he finally mustered up his courage to step onto the field and joined his buddies for a football match in 2015 and he was surprised that he lasted the full game without pain.
Since then, there is never a day he goes without Flexiseq and he is enjoying his favourite game twice a week!
